NID Kurukshetra National Institute of Design, Haryana, was established on November 15, 2016 as an autonomous institute under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to emerge as a global leader in Design Education and Research. The institute aims at becoming the torchbearer for innovative design directions in the industry, commerce and development sectors. NID Haryana’s multi disciplinary environment consisting of diverse design domains helps in creating an innovative and holistic ecosystem for design learning and delivering solutions focusing on the emerging needs of people integrated with digital and cutting edge technologies.

Hostel

National Institute of Design, Kurukshetra has made an arrangement of stay/ hostel with National Institute of Technology for the girl’s students and with the Kurukshetra University, SKIET for the boy’s students. Institutes have also made food arrangements through a service provider.

Scholarships

The Scholarship Grant is introduced by NID Haryana from AY 2020-21 onwards.
The key features of the Grant are as follows:
1. The Scholarship Grant will be given on the basis of meritorious performance of students.
2. The Scholarship Grant is also available to students of economically weaker section.
New Admission Topper INR 50,000 in Foundation year.
Criteria:
Scholarship Grant will be given to a new admission student of Foundation Batch with highest open rank in the NID Admission Exam provided that the open rank is 60 or above.
